Installation Instructions for Port-A-Post Loosen thumb screw on base completely. Insert pound post into base solid end exposes and using a 3lb sledge hammer, pound base into ground. Be sure it is going in straight, in soft dirt put in till square tube reaches ground, in hard dirt round tube tube only has to be in 1/2 way. Insert centerpole into base and tighten thumb screw. Again make sure pole is straight. Loosen thumb screw completely on top of center pole and insert top sign holder, tighten thumb screw. Attach sign to S hooks on sign holder. If sign is not straight you may use a small wooden wedge or reset bottom holder. To remove bottom holder from hard ground use a cresent wrench or pipe wrench. Turn bottom counter clockwise and it will loosen it-self from the ground. If you are having any problems you may call 1 800 400-9068 for directions. Again, before putting any of the parts together make sure the thumb screw is completely out of the way, thumb screw could be damaged if left in while inserting any parts. It will probably take you less time to install the "Port-A-Post" than it did to read these directions. You now have a sturdy professional looking sign and holder that can be used again and again. Installation Instructions for Port-A-Post Wall, roof, fence, tree, utility pole, eve, balcony rail (wood or flat metal) Tools required: A power screw driver (Makita Style) Remove screws from base (tape covering) or in bag. Place base againts area to be attached to and install screws (minimum of 4). Unscrew thumb screw or bolt all the way on base. Attach your sign to top holder usning either S-hooks or plastic ties. (If you use S-hooks make sure they are clamped shut.) If you use plastic ties check them at least once a month as they meay break if you have continuing high wind or storms. Insert top sign holder into pole. Make sure the thumb screw or bolt is loose before inserting. After insertion tighten thumb screw. Insert pole into base. (Make sure the thumb screw is loose before inserting.) After insertion tighten thumb screw. If you are attaching base to al flat metal railing you will need 4 automotive hose clamps (not included.) Place base onto flat rail and put hose clamps around base and rail and tighten. All 4 clamps must be very tight or base will roll. Follow 2,3,4,5 and 6 above.
